Apples to Applesauce
Do you have a bunch of apples that have seen better days? Don’t toss ’em, sauce ’em!
Peel them, core them, and cut them into chunks. Throw in a saucepan with a bit of water and cinnamon. There is no need to add sugar because the apples are naturally sweet. Simmer them for 20 – 30 minutes depending on how you like your applesauce. Experiment by adding more water or squishing with a potato masher.
Delicious on its own or add to your favorite oatmeal or recipe. Yummy!
